Bio
Gary Sawyer started teaching at the Greenlee School in 2015, after a 40-year career in the newspaper industry. He has worked for newspapers in Iowa, Oregon and Illinois. Sawyer is a graduate of Iowa State’s journalism department and also has an MBA from Iowa State. Sawyer primarily teaches reporting, writing and editing classes.
