HTML Cheatsheet

Things to remember:

  • HTML markup is all about wrapping text in tags that specify elements.
  • Tags are denoted in shorthand by letters in angle brackets. Denote a closing tag (where the element ends) by adding a /.
    • e.g., <em>This text is emphasized by <em> tags.</em>
  • Elements can have attributes, extra information for that specific element. The attribute you will likely use most is href for <a> elements (links).
