Laptop Recommendations

All students at Iowa State University are required to own or obtain a laptop computer or other device appropriate to their discipline. See the ITS information page about the requirement and LAS-specific recommendations.

Our Greenlee teaching labs are macOS-based. If you’d like your personal computer to have optimum compatibility with our lab computers, Greenlee IT has recommended the below models as most suitable for Greenlee majors’ needs. These specific models are not required purchases — they are only recommendations based on our experience moving to virtual learning in spring and summer 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
