Bio

Chuck is the general manager of the corporate affairs practice in Edelman’s Chicago office. During his tenure he has overseen a wide variety of client relationships in the financial services, insurance and adjacent sectors. He now oversees clients including Nationwide Insurance, Humana and General Electric, among other client relationships.

Chuck has two decades of corporate communications experience across a diversified roster of industry sectors that include technology, automotive, financial services and insurance. He has managed campaigns on a wide spectrum of communications initiatives, comprising executive positioning, issues management, financial communications, merger and acquisitions, marketing communications and corporate social responsibility.

Previously, Chuck was global communications lead for Motorola’s $17 billion-a-year Mobile Devices business unit. He managed business, consumer and technology communications strategy and execution. He also oversaw strategic planning, issues management, change communications and multiple product launch and brand initiatives. At Motorola, he served earlier as director of corporate communications and handled a wide range of executive positioning and media relations campaigns.

Chuck also served as corporate communications director for The Allstate Corporation. He led multi-faceted corporate and executive positioning and corporate social-responsibility programs for the nation’s second largest auto insurer. He served as a lead counselor to its chairman and senior leadership, during which he led the company’s multi-million dollar restructuring of its customer portfolio away from catastrophe-prone areas.

Chuck received bachelor's degrees in journalism and political science from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has received many publicity awards and was awarded the best annual report award by the National Association of Investors Corp. for Allstate’s annual report.
