Bio
I was born and raised in Ames, and being from a smallish city, there were a lot of times where there wasn’t a ton to do. That forced me to use my imagination frequently to create my own fun, and I was able to tell engaging stories based off of my experiences. From there, I developed a strong passion for storytelling and engaging audiences whether it was through written material or visual entertainment.
In middle school, I got bit with the cinema and video editing bug and knew that’s what I wanted my career to revolve around. Almost immediately after beginning my adventure at Iowa State, I wasted no time getting involved with countless internships and part-time jobs that revolved around video production -- teaching me the ins and the outs of the business, and in addition to that, of endless hours watching YouTube tutorials/doing research and college coursework on top of that.
My drive to strive to be the best at what I do eventually led me to working full-time for the Iowa State University Foundation shortly after graduation as a multimedia specialist. I then moved to Boston and worked for the New England Patriots for three years and then moved back to the Midwest to Minneapolis where I run my own production company and have clients such as NFL Films, Big Ten Network and Film 45 (creator of Friday Night Lights) just to name a few.
I didn’t get to where I am by myself. I had a lot of help and support from some incredible mentors and role models that helped pave the way for me to be successful and to be able to give back and return the kindness is something that brings me a lot of joy and happiness.
