Paul Kluding has more than 25 years of experience in the public relations/corporate communications field. He currently serves as director of enterprise public relations for Nemours Children’s Health. Headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., Nemours serves the healthcare needs of patients in Delaware, Florida, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and is the country’s largest multi-state, multi-hospital health systems dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children.
Prior to Nemours, Paul spent 13 years as the senior director of public relations for Florida Blue, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Company of Florida, which is the largest health insurer in the state and one of the leading health care companies in the country.
Before moving to Jacksonville in 2008, Paul held several public relations positions in Des Moines, Iowa. He worked as an independent strategic communications consultant for some of the area’s leading organizations, including Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) and Nelson Construction, among others.
Paul also worked as a public relations strategist for ARAG Legal Insurance, Principal Financial Group and the Krause Gentle Corporation. He got his start in public relations on the agency side of the business, working for Zimmerman, Laurent & Richardson (ZLR), as well as Creswell, Munzel, Fultz & Zirbel (CMF&Z).
Paul graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and an emphasis in public relations and a minor in political science. While there, Paul served as sports editor at the Iowa State Daily for two years. Paul has three adult children who are all thriving on their own: Johnathan, Kaelyn and Arnold.
