Boyles Selected as Newsgeist Participant

Assistant Professor Jan Lauren Boyles has been selected as a participant for Newsgeist, an invitation-only gathering on the future of news hosted by Google and the Knight Foundation. The conference is slated for December at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State. Boyles is also serving on an executive committee to review applications for the new editor of Newspaper Research Journal. This month, Boyles was asked to join the LAS strategic planning subcommittee on research. In professional service, she reviewed Fulbright applications (in journalism/communications) for the 2017 cycle, as well as a manuscript for Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly.
